Wicked Reviews
Linda Hutton from Edinburgh,
WORTH THE WAIT
Been waiting for years to see Wicked and it was definitely worth the wait. Spectacular from start to finish I loved every minute. The song defying gravity just at the end of part one gave me goosebumps it is so good. Standing ovation at the end very much deserved it was just brilliant and the cast were outstanding. Well worth every penny of the ticket money.
Jill from Edinburgh,
ORCHESTRA TOO NOISY
This was my first time at Wicked and whilst I enjoyed the spectacle, it was very hard to follow the dialogue and lyrics because (in common with most musicals I have been to) the band did their best to drown out the performers and largely succeeded. On some songs, I couldn’t make out a single word.

WICKED DISAPPOINTMENT
We travelled to Edinburgh in anticipation of a great family night out. No faults with ehe excellent show, acting and production but it was ruined by the most uncomfortable seats in any theatre I have visited. I am not tall, but my knees hit the seat in front - the 6 foot + tall members of our group of 9 were in agony. Not good seats for anyone who is not skinny either. Visibility very poor - I could see only a quarter of the stage and missed a lot of the performance. There was also a technical problem which halted the performance for about 20 minutes. The interval queue for the toilets was almost to the stage. Very poor value and we will not be attending the Playhouse in future, no matter how attractive the show seems. If you value a decent view and a comfortable seat don't go.
Robert Mcneill from Edinburgh,
NOT WORTH THE EFFORT
My wife and I went to see this as we really enjoy musical theatre. I have a hearing aid, but it is always good to hear everything. This time it was not ,I could not make out the lyrics and difficult to make out a lot of the dialogue. The spectacle was good ,but not the sound or the story really. At half time my wife says she has seen enough as she was not enjoying it at all, which suited me because of the sound. So we left at half time.

Enchanting BRILLIANT timeless
The performance of 'Defying Gravity' at the end of Act I will give you chills.
Almost 13 years after it's debut, you still can't go wrong with Wicked, a perfect adventure for the whole family! Eugene Lee's scenic design coupled with Susan Hilferty's costume artistry will have you engrossed in their magic throughout the production.
