Cinderella at Manchester Opera House

Why see Cinderella?

A PUMPKIN, A SLIPPER, AND A FAIRY GODMOTHER

Bippity Boppity Boop your way to the Opera House this Christmas and join Jason Manford as he returns for his third year of panto magic, starring as the dashing Prince Charming in Cinderella! This family favourite pantomime promises plenty of laughs with Jason leading the charge, delivering his signature charm and wit to the role. He's joined by the fabulously wicked Myra DuBois as the evil Stepmother, the ever-hilarious Ben Nickless as Buttons, and the dazzling Wendy Mae Brown as the Fairy Godmother. And, of course, Sarah Vaughan steps into Cinderella's glass slippers as she goes from rags to riches!

A Night To Remember!

With glitzy costumes, eye-popping sets, cheeky innuendos, and heaps of audience participation, this panto is the perfect festive treat for all ages. Whether it's Jason cracking you up as the perfect Prince, or Buttons causing chaos, you'll be laughing from start to finish.

Everybody knows the story of Cinderella, but panto always finds a way to twist this fairytale in the most chaotic and unpredictable ways. Will Cinders make it to the ball? Will Buttons show you something he shouldn't? And will this be a Christmas pantomime to remember? Absolutely! Book your tickets before the clock strikes midnight!

Cinderella

MK theatre puts on the best pantomime outside of the Palladium … let’s be honest you can’t compete with that production and venue right? 2023/4 production was excellent, I went late to see the show on Thursday 11th with older family, TBH I shouldn’t have taken time off work but OMG had Brian or is it Bryan Conely nailed it. He was amazing, I felt the energy from him but let’s not forget the rest of the team. Yes it was getting towards the end of the run, it was a matinee performance but boom were they brilliant. All I can say is apologies the older audience with some junior school attendees didn’t interact as much as we should have until the very end … Bryan and the four children up on stage inspired me ok … the comical genius by Bryan so quick witted incredible if you were there you experienced something. Especially that little girl Hope 3 years old … she made me shed a tear. Well done MK theatre you smashed it again ... Read more

Wonderful!

I felt that it was a little underrehersed but this is traditional with pantos and we know that each one gets better as the days go by. The big names are often juggling numerous things and don't get a lot of rehersal time with the full cast. However often the mistakes add to the humour. Craig is multi talented (Obviously) and I loved his waspy performance. AGT always put on superb pantos and I love the way they weave magic tricks into the show. Every time I see one, particularly at my favourite theatre Wimbledon, the ingenuity is brilliant. The first half ended with a stunning scene of the flying carriage taking Cinders to the ball - fabulous darling!! Great dancing by the chorous - extremely high standard and all the other characters was great. A little under rehearsed on opening night but still a real treat with the potential to be fabulous!!! Go and see it if you can get a ticket - it was virtually sold out and rightly so. ... Read more
