IT'S NOT SISTER ACT!

The reason we wanted to see this was because we love the songs in the film. There were none! So disappointing. Wouldn't have gone if we had known. This should have been pointed out in in its description. We left in the interval. An utter swizz.

DISAPPOINTED

Sister Act is such an Iconic film and loved by everyone, so to hear it was in theatre as a musical you obviously expect to hear the famous songs throughout the movie …. Not a single one!! I’ve got to say I was utterly disappointed as I’d been looking forward to the show for months … Don’t get me wrong the cast was fabulous and there are some funny parts BUT definitely not as I was expecting. I think it’s so popular as people buying tickets are expecting to hear and sing along to the “Sister Act we all know” I thought if nothing else the finale could have had a few songs to sing along to and get the audience excited!! Finish on a high. No credit is taken away from the performance or the cast as it was good in that sense, the finale was good. But where were the songs from the film …. Please review for next time.

DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE

Disappointing show the main actress playing Deloris was out of key throughout and didn’t convince me as the character. I was waiting for it to finish after the half time

HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL

My husband and mother took me to watch Sister Act the musical in Oxford tonight for my birthday. I was very excited as I love the soundtracks to the movies... Unfortunately, there were no original songs and by the second half they even changed the storyline. Imagine going to see Lion King, Mama Mia or Grease and they start singing songs you've never heard before... Although, the cast were fantastic, I wouldn't see this show again or recommend it.

UNFAMILIAR SONGS

The show itself was good, but in my mind, the whole point of a musical is being able to sing along with the songs.. Every song was unknown, so in parts it feel really flat and was a bit boring (sorry!) The actors were good, just a shame you didn't get the full effect

SISTER ACT

Very disappointed, I was looking forward to the show , even watching the movie so I was sure I could sing along. I needn’t have bothered as none of the iconic songs featured in “act” . Lots of drab scenes, dark and slow . First half really boring , I was hoping second half was gonna kick in and be what I paid for. No .

NO ORIGINAL SONGS

So excited for this performance. What I watched was not sister act. With no original songs from the movie , the story not the same, was very disappointed. The sing along night I was expecting didn’t happen. The seven people that came with me although had a good night. The production team good , but maybe change the name. Definitely not sister act.
