SO MUCH FUN

I loved this from the start. The songs may not have been as expected, but the performance quality carried a great selection.

AMAZINGGG

Went to see on the 2nd night & it was fabulous, loved it. People moaning about it not having the original songs need to look up about copywriting, We thought it was brilliant, well done to all cast/crew.

CREATIVE CONVENT AT ITS BEST

Stunning performance. Songs are captivating as is the deliverance. Yes, you do miss the original lyrics and melodies, but if you listen to the lyrics of this show you will be uplifted up to the circular rose window! The music is rich and fun, the dancing superb. An all round lift me up! ! For fans of Whoopi Goldberg, Delores is a delight. You will not be disappointed

SISTER ACT SUNDERLAND EMPIRE

What a fabulous show! Whoever produced this show got the cast to perform it absolutely spot on. The characters were so like the movie. We loved it. The songs and the music was excellent to the point i didnt miss the songs from the movie at all. All the voices were superb, the 3 ' gangsters' were hilarious. Their parts being better than the parts they get in the movie. Dancing was super, altogether a great show. 5* performance all round.

IT'S NOT SISTER ACT!

The reason we wanted to see this was because we love the songs in the film. There were none! So disappointing. Wouldn't have gone if we had known. This should have been pointed out in in its description. We left in the interval. An utter swizz.

DISAPPOINTED

Sister Act is such an Iconic film and loved by everyone, so to hear it was in theatre as a musical you obviously expect to hear the famous songs throughout the movie …. Not a single one!! I’ve got to say I was utterly disappointed as I’d been looking forward to the show for months … Don’t get me wrong the cast was fabulous and there are some funny parts BUT definitely not as I was expecting. I think it’s so popular as people buying tickets are expecting to hear and sing along to the “Sister Act we all know” I thought if nothing else the finale could have had a few songs to sing along to and get the audience excited!! Finish on a high. No credit is taken away from the performance or the cast as it was good in that sense, the finale was good. But where were the songs from the film …. Please review for next time.

DISAPPOINTING PERFORMANCE

Disappointing show the main actress playing Deloris was out of key throughout and didn’t convince me as the character. I was waiting for it to finish after the half time

HAD SO MUCH POTENTIAL

My husband and mother took me to watch Sister Act the musical in Oxford tonight for my birthday. I was very excited as I love the soundtracks to the movies... Unfortunately, there were no original songs and by the second half they even changed the storyline. Imagine going to see Lion King, Mama Mia or Grease and they start singing songs you've never heard before... Although, the cast were fantastic, I wouldn't see this show again or recommend it.

UNFAMILIAR SONGS

The show itself was good, but in my mind, the whole point of a musical is being able to sing along with the songs.. Every song was unknown, so in parts it feel really flat and was a bit boring (sorry!) The actors were good, just a shame you didn't get the full effect

SISTER ACT

Very disappointed, I was looking forward to the show , even watching the movie so I was sure I could sing along. I needn’t have bothered as none of the iconic songs featured in “act” . Lots of drab scenes, dark and slow . First half really boring , I was hoping second half was gonna kick in and be what I paid for. No .

NO ORIGINAL SONGS

So excited for this performance. What I watched was not sister act. With no original songs from the movie , the story not the same, was very disappointed. The sing along night I was expecting didn’t happen. The seven people that came with me although had a good night. The production team good , but maybe change the name. Definitely not sister act.

DISAPPOINTED DOESN’T COME CLOSE

This was Sister Act in name only. It was like watching a completely different production. So disappointed that we didn’t even stay until the end.

FIRST TIME EVER I HAVE LEFT A SHOW

The show was 15 minutes late starting. It seemed very disjointed. Mother superior’s voice was extremely weak and also forgot her words. It should be a good feel good evening but we’ve left feeling very upset at the quality of the show. Other cast members were out of time. We were so looking forward to this but both my husband and I agreed that the show wasn’t flowing well and the cast didn’t seem to work well together. £110 not well spent! We couldn’t stomach the second half’s
