Well! Haven’t seen Alan in stand up for years, I can truly say I wasn’t disappointed. Absolutely hilarious, never laughed so much at anything as much as last night! Admittedly there were some dark moments but I was expecting that as he’d mentioned it on other shows, previewing this show! Maybe not relevant to the audience but obviously quite poignant. Alan manages to lift the mood immediately after these moments though. Very pleasant and exhilarating show.

The show at the Alex in Birmingham was excellent! I've been a keen fan forever, and was not disappointed. All the material was new...not surprising after all this time! I bought his book and was first in the queue for signing. He chatted while waiting for a pen to appear, and it rounded off the evening beautifully. If you're a fan...catch one of his shows!
