He comes from the land that gave the world Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot and Rufus Wainwright. He's the definition of a 'songwriters' songwriter' - Elton John once said that Ron has the voice of an angel, Chris Martin duetted with him on Gold In Them Hills and Elvis Costello loves his work, having toured with him on several occasions. Many stars have covered his songs including Rod Stewart and Tom Jones and most recently Michael Buble, whose multi-platinum album Crazy Love features a duet with Ron on his song Whatever It Takes.
His new album Long Player Late Bloomer features a star-studded cast of musicians, including guitarist Rusty Anderson, bassist Paul Bushnell, keyboard player Jamie Edwards and drummer Josh Freese. Long Player Late Bloomer is Ron's eleventh studio album and features 13 new Sexsmith penned songs.
