101 Dalmatians - Manchester Palace Theatre - July 30 - August 10, 2024


A Disney classic that's had more adaptations than a Dalmatian has spots! This one is adapted by award-winning playwright Zinnie Harris, with music by Tony and Olivier Award-winner Douglas Hodge. The story revolves around Pongo and Perdita, two Dalmatians who undertake a daring adventure to rescue their kidnapped puppies from the villainous Cruella de Vil, who wants to turn them into a fur coat. Along the way, they enlist the help of other animals for a thrilling journey across England.

A GCSE drama staple, Blood Brothers follows the intertwined lives of twin brothers, Mickey and Edward. Separated at birth, Mickey and Edward grow up in starkly contrasting environments within 1960s Liverpool. While Mickey is raised in a working-class household, Edward enjoys a life of privilege and luxury. Despite their disparate upbringings, fate brings them together at the tender age of seven, where they discover their shared birthday and quickly form an unbreakable bond, while still unaware of their true familial connection.

Penned by the film's original screenwriter Steve Atin, this new stage adaptation of the beloved 2010 film is bringing its glitz and drama to Manchester. Set in a struggling Las Vegas burlesque venue facing threats from developers, Burlesque follows the journey of Ali, a newcomer to Sin City, as she navigates rivalries, romances, and the quest for fame. With Ali's talent at the forefront, can she save the club from closure while pursuing her dreams of stardom?

The real-life inspired Chicago follows Roxie Hart, an aspiring vaudevillian who commits a murder and tries to persuade her timid husband, Amos, to provide a false alibi. Inside Cook County Jail, Roxie encounters her idol, Velma Kelly, a celebrated nightclub performer and double murderess. The plot thickens when both women seek representation from the shrewd and seductive lawyer, Billy Flynn, each vying for the spotlight amidst the glare of newspaper photographers.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is set in the picturesque English countryside and follows the Potts family as they encounter the sinister Baron Bomburst and his bumbling spies, who are determined to get their hands on the marvelous flying machine! With the help of Truly Scrumptious, a lovely local candy maker, Caractacus and his children, Jeremy and Jemima, head on an adventure to save Chitty and outwit the Baron.
